What this page is for
A one-page check of everything the system needs to run well. Problems are listed first, in red, with what to do about them. Warnings are yellow. Everything working is green.
Who can use it
People with the View system health permission (by default Admin) and the account owner.
How to check the system
- Open System → System health.
- Read any red or yellow items and follow the advice under each.
- Reload the page to check again after fixing something.
How to download the setup report
Select Download setup report (PDF). It lists what was set up during installation and today's health. It never includes passwords or keys. The button appears on systems installed with the setup wizard.
Fields and columns
| Check | What it means |
|---|---|
| Background tasks (cron) | When the scheduler last ran, with which PHP version, and whether it was started by cron or the web-cron address. Red when it hasn't run for 3 minutes. |
| Waiting jobs | Background jobs in the queue. Yellow when one has waited over 15 minutes. |
| Failed jobs | Background jobs that failed. A technician can retry them. |
| Licence | The licence state and end date. See Licence. |
| Database up to date | Whether all database updates have been applied. |
| Free disk space | Yellow under 5 GB, red under 1 GB. |
| Debug mode off | Debug mode must be off on a live system, because error pages could show secrets. |
| Secure address (HTTPS) | Whether the web address starts with https://. |
| PHP, Database, Version | The versions in use, and server or shared hosting mode. |
The web-cron address at the bottom is for hosts without cron: a free service such as cron-job.org opens it every minute. Keep it secret.
Statuses and automation
- The scheduler records a heartbeat every minute. That is what the first check reads.
- On shared hosting, waiting jobs are worked through once a minute by the scheduler, so a short queue is normal.
Settings that change this page
The licence on the Licence page. Server settings (cron, debug mode, web address) are changed on the server by whoever installed the system.
FAQs
Background tasks show red right after installation. Add the cron line shown during installation, then wait a minute.
The PHP version for background tasks is different from the PHP version above. Some hosts use a different PHP for cron. Use the PHP 8.3 (or newer) path in the cron line; your host can tell you the path.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | What to do |
|---|---|
| Background tasks never ran | The cron line is missing or wrong. Copy it again from the installer instructions, or use the web-cron address. |
| Database not up to date | Run php artisan migrate --force on the server (or ask your technician). |
| Debug mode is on | Set APP_DEBUG=false in the .env file on the server. |
| Free disk space is low | Remove old backups or ask your host for more space. |
